Good coffee, casual, great variety of food.
I do believe they do.
Definitely cash or check only. ATM at gas station across street.
Yes you can. Remember cash only.
Yes
When I was there last, they did not!
Fantastic salads, coffee, and pastries! Local and gluten free options! A neighborhood gem
Cash only!Such great food! I love their lemon ricotta pancakes! They are so good. I even surprised my wife with some at home and they arrived in great condition. She and I love the cowboy bowl! A must when in need of great breakfast in this beautiful city!
Good coffee. Delicious food. A little noisy but worth the atmosphere. Bring cash since they don’t take debit.
Some of the best "QUALITY" food in Santa Fe. Great vibes and delicious food . We go quite often
Always good food. Staff is sometimes harried. Mostly polite and friendly. Watch your pronouns with the clients. They may look like a certain gender but....
I cannot day enough about this amazing coffee shop and restaurant. The coffee was exquisite and crafted perfectly. The meals are large portions and very well designed. I really appreciated the healthier options and the available vegetarian dishes. Service was wonderful as this was my first time in. They were so gracious in explaining where everything was and how it all worked. Really enjoyed my visit here and would highly encourage all to visit.
Delicious Juevos Rancheros! I get Christmas each time. Great coffee too.
Very friendly staff and great environment with ample seating despite how busy this place seems to get. The pesto and potato frittata was great but the yogurt parfait was a disappointment. The coffee has a ways to go - our flat white had a stiff froth, was 16oz and served in a glass (surprise!)
Bottomless Coffee $3.25. Open later than you think, Counter Culture earns 5-Stars for its professional service, food menu and coffee. One of the best, most consistent kitchens in Santa Fe. Priced slightly above Starbucks, coffee comes in 16 ounce coffee mugs that will satisfy your craving. Terrific sandwiches and salads, with prices in the double digits, sandwiches under 10$. Five different Soup de Jour... like Salmon Thai Coconut and Vegan Split Pea (4$ cup, $5 bowl * recently raised 50 cents). Tangy Gazpacho too. Free refills on coffee, take a to-go cup. Casual, easy-going with free wifi...Counter Culture is inviting and difficult to leave. Can be contagious. Open til 8pm Tuesday -Saturday. Closes 3pm Sunday.
Lovely place, food, people. I only wish they opened a little earlier in the morning
Counter culture was a great quick breakfast stop in Santa fe, with friendly staff and a killer breakfast burrito. It was really spicy for my tastes, but I have a very low spice tolerance, and my boyfriend happily finished what I couldn't. Coffee was delicious as well!
Huevos ranchos & lemon ricotta pancakes. Great combo to share.
Found this place by accident, glad we did. Food was great and had a great time!
I have always loved Counter Culture. The food here is terrific, often a traditional favorite with a twist that makes it special. If you've never had a cinnamon roll here, you've never had a cinnamon roll. Long tables and open seating encourage new friendships (I sat across from a movie star here one day and had a great conversation with him.) The staff is terrific and add immensely to the experience.
Um. Yess. I moved to Santa Fe in June and just made it to Counter Culture for the first time yesterday. One important thing: CASH ONLY! Diverse menu and friendly staff. I had the Cowboy bowl, OJ and a mocha, husband had a more traditional breakfast and regular coffee. I’m on my way back there for lunch today lol.
Went over to have a delicious light lunch. The place has a nice relaxed vibe and a cosy little terrace in the sun. Recommended!
Cash or check only. Fine. $40 for 2 people to have breakfast. The pancakes had no flavor at all and needed a knife to cut through. $5 bucks for hiland orange juice....and $15 for bisquick burned pancakes. Not friendly staff.
Good food, but often busy and cash only. Lots of out of town visitors that don't get quick serve . Would visit again.
one of my fave eating places in Santa Fe, Counter Culture has kept the original spirit alive-- good fresh food, brought to one s table by the cooks themselves, fair prices, and a down to earth friendly atmosphere that hearkens back to a kinder gentler time. Just don t go on a Sunday after Indian Market as both the parking and interior and outdoor patio are jammed to overflowing and acoustics are deafening.
Stopped in for a quick latte and it was delicious. Latte with some cinnamon syrup I definitely recommend.
The atmosphere is friendly and casual, and the staff so friendly. Worked here on a rainy day and loved the Asian plate and baked goods. Fave spot in SF!
Must do for any meal. We had bkfst and u must get waffle or pancake.
My wife and I were staying down the street at a bnb and every morning we stumbled over to the most amazing smells and breakfast. The shop is cash only, however, it was so good that I made sure we had cash for breakfast the next day which is something I haven't done for years. Coffee was on point and free refills to boot. Sunday the cinnamon roll is epic don't miss it.
This was a very cool local joint with breakfast and lunch/dinner joices. Meatball sandwiches to chicken enchiladas and they were good. Cash Only, no ATM on site.
Don't expect service with a smile at this place. I have been a long time customer of Counter Culture, unfortunately today will be my last visit. The food isn't bad, not great either, but today I had a strange experience where the cashier (blond and believed to be partner/wife owner with her husband) was incredibly rude and insulting to me and my family members. Since the other two members of my party had pretty much finished ordering, they stayed, but I could not reward her behavior with my business. The cashiers at Taco Bell were very friendly ;). So I would recommend the Bell over this place if you don't like to pay people to insult you.
Came here for a quick breakfast and was very surprised. The food and coffee was excellent, service was quick, and the atmosphere both in and out is really great. The only thing I don't like is you have to clear the table when you're finished.
Hipster and cash only .... things look really good
Y’all I went to this place twice in one day, my first time here. The chai was yummy, just the perfect amount of sweet. I got a gluten free berry almond muffin which had a great flavor, especially after I heated it up. For LUNCH y’all. I walked in and my eyes fixed on the Chinese sesame noodles on the menu, so I just went with my gut and HOLY SHIZZLE. The 5 stars I give to this business is PURELY for them noodlez. I’m tearing up thinking about them now. Mmm. Also cool atmosphere, very spacious, nice cashiers, overall nice experience here. Get them noodles.
Best Pancakes in Santa Fe! I have tried the pancakes at every restaurant here and theirs are the best. They have other amazing food items as well. A must try place!
While the atmosphere was amazing and the menu selection has good variety I found the chicken tom yum soup was completely unauthentic...only flavor was spice. Couldn't eat more than 6 bites. Really good shoe string fries. Gluten free bread and vegetarian options are available.
This is off the main drag. But if you find it you will find a unique coffee shop that serves a very eclectic set of customers. They have a very unique menu and some of the best blueberry muffins you will find. They have indoor and outdoor seating. And frequently have examples of local artist's works on display and for sale. They have very strong blends of coffee. French roasts, including decaf, and black lightning. Emphasis on strong coffee. It is tucked away a among some unique specialty shops. Parking is limited but definitely worth a visit.
Wonderful desserts! Gate that you can’t pay with plastic though.
I'm updating my review by bumping this place up to five stars. Though the meatball sandwich I had last month was only so-so, the French toast I enjoyed on my most recent stop was simply sublime.French Toast is a hit or miss with me; people either know to make it right as to be delicious, or to it wrong so that it just ends up being empty carbs and calories. Counter Culture certainly fits into the category of the former. Served in three separate slices, each piece of French Toast makes the excessive sugar intake worth it. The bread is thick and fluffy, the powdered sugar is sufficient, and the syrup makes things all the better. Let me not forget, that the added splash of cinnamon provides this French toast with its own unique favor: most comparable with a cinnamon roll. Portion size is generous too, though delicious, I ended up having to take the third piece home to enjoy later.
Really good selection of food from Thai, Mexican, American to. choose from at decent prices. Super delicious healthy, healthy food. Loved it and will keep coming back!!
Great food, really convenient, wide range of options, and fast service. Such a great place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Great for groups or by yourself.
Very good and not a bad price for Santa Fe, probably the best huevos I've had here
Their chicken sandwich was awesome. I would also recommend their pancakes!
Everything on the menu is delicious!! Amazing atmosphere and great staff! The patio is wonderful and shaded. The surrounding shops are cute too!!
Good foods and nice place!Nice interior and out side patio...We tried Asia plate, Tuna fish Tacos, Chocolate cake and Organic coffee.Taste is good but Chocolate cake was to sweet for me.
Our go-to breakfast place in Santa Fe. Great organic coffee and fantastic food and fresh baked goods. We love the huevos rancheros, which have some of the spicier green and/or red chilli you can get in town. The almond scones are killer. Worth driving across town for. Cool, comfortable vibe with local art for sale on the walls. Super friendly staff, with runners that bring out food as soon as it is ready. Cash only, so be sure to have some with you.
Love the food the atmosphere the location
Great food, but you better be hungry because portions are huge.
Cash only, but the menu and atmosphere are good. Everything from waffles to chocolate cake to steal sandwiches.
My husband and I loved this place! What a wonderful surprise! I had maybe the best blueberry muffin of my life and the black beans in my "Cowboy Bowl" were cooked from scratch and seasoned to perfection.
Quickly has become an enchanting haunt for me. Clean, and unique food. Coffee always hot. Dinosaurs repeatedly ready to play.
Cool place for the breakfast, lunch crowd but very noisy, cash only. Food is ample and quick. We like to read from the piles of magazines and ignore the screaming babies.
My family and I stopped in on our way out for a day of hiking and had excellent service, delicious food, and the best latte in town. (I highly recommend the huevos rancheros!) They were nice enough to even box up some sandwiches for us to take on our hike, even though they weren’t serving lunch yet.
Loved the food, I had the Durango omelette and the wife had lemon ricotta pancakes. Delicious coffee.
Great Staff! Plenty of gluten free and vegan options. I always gravitate to the burger. Tasty.
Best breakfast burritos 😄 love their hibiscus tea and chocolate cake too!Cool that it’s cash only, nice local vibe.
